You will have to patch `icont' and `iconc' to use your paths. A
program to do this (`patchstr') is supplied with the binary
distribution. A description of how to do this exactly is in one of the
README-files which come with the binaries.

The Linux binaries from ftp.cs.arizona.edu are compiled without X
support (the date mark of this distribution was, I think, September
1994), maybe this has changed in the meantime. If not, you will have
to get the sources and compile yourself. It compiled without any
problems on my machine. Among the documentation files there is a
step-by-step guide to compiling Icon, which tells you what to do.
